As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams while acting with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with directing people to approved entrances, departments, and waiting areas.
  • Document security-related activities such as patrol observations, incidents, and service requests in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
