As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or calls for service, document observations, and provide professional customer service and communication to onsite teams and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to alarms, releases, fire indications, medical calls, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, processing areas, tank farms, rail and/or truck loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site requirements.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and monitor cameras and/or alarm systems as assigned, communicating observations to site contacts.
