As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming shopping experience through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach to every shift. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail patrons and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disorderly conduct, medical events, and/or fire and intrusion alarms.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other prohibited activity.
• Monitor CCTV and other store systems as assigned, document observations, and report suspicious activity to the appropriate onsite contacts and/or law enforcement when required.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, provide clear information during shift turnovers, and support loss prevention efforts in accordance with post orders.
