Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where your visible presence and routine patrols help support a welcoming environment for shoppers and tenants. You will conduct mobile and on foot rounds, respond to incidents, and deliver customer service with clear communication and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or public services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, corridors, and other high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assist with access control when directed, and help de-escalate disturbances using customer service skills.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
