As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer in an education location, you will monitor and patrol buildings and grounds, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement is required.
• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with visitor management consistent with site guidelines.
• Complete timely reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
