As an unarmed driving patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms, support access control and badging processes, and use a computer or tablet to document activity while delivering standout customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and observe CCTV and/or building systems as assigned, reporting irregular conditions and coordinating with property management as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, medical situations, disturbances, and/or maintenance issues until additional resources arrive.
  • Complete detailed patrol activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate security-related information to on-site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
