As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and customer service. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital grounds, parking areas, entrances, corridors, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring designated entrances, verifying identification when required, directing visitors to appropriate locations, and reporting suspicious behavior per site procedures.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate noteworthy activity to the supervisor and/or incoming officers.
