Requirements

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas, common spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations.
Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as alarms, visitor logs, and badge procedures, and report issues in accordance with site guidelines.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders, and documenting actions taken.
Complete timely patrol logs and incident reports, communicate findings to supervisors and site stakeholders, and support a professional environment within a technology and media location.
