As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a high-end retail location, you will welcome guests, manage access control and badging, and support security-related operations with clear, professional communication. You will stay visible at the entry point, help to deter unwanted activity, respond to questions and concerns, and document key activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and store associates by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related operations at the front desk.
  • Control access by greeting entrants, verifying identification as required, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems from the front desk, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel to help to deter theft and other incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and completing required notifications.
  • Document shift activity, incident details, and visitor information in written reports, and communicate key updates during shift changes.
