Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and document security-related activity. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine rounds near controlled areas, and communicate clearly with staff and guests to help support smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Drivers License for more than 1 year
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and credentials, managing visitor check-in, issuing temporary badges per site policy, and documenting access activity.
  • Monitor doors, gates, and access control systems for irregular activity, reporting maintenance issues and/or potential policy violations through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces and perimeter routes, to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
