As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and vendors, helping manage access with check-ins, badge control, and clear directions. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and communicate concerns to site leaders. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies for a utilities location.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing guests to appropriate areas per post orders.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and communication systems from the front desk, reporting irregular activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation, including incident reports, access logs, and shift activity records, and communicate relevant updates during shift change.
