As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document observations to support daily operations. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including verbal de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may need attention.
Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification as required, directing visitors to the appropriate destination, and supporting visitor management processes.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, documenting observations and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
Complete detailed written reports for incidents, patrol activity, and client service interactions, maintaining accurate logs and shift documentation.
Provide assistance with site order such as guiding foot traffic, supporting lobby and clinic flow, and responding to requests for escort to vehicles when requested.
Assist with response to medical facility disruptions such as disorderly conduct, unauthorized persons, and property concerns, using approved communication and escalation protocols.
Maintain a professional presence and appearance, practicing courteous communication and respecting privacy requirements applicable to a healthcare location.
