As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors with a caring, customer-first approach, communicate clearly, and report concerns with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related alerts, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting hazards and/or unusual activity.
  • Control access as assigned by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and directing visitors to designated check-in locations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete detailed written reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate key information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
