As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, monitor entrances and common areas, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and a customer-first approach. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting medical staff with scene control and directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with wayfinding and queue management to support orderly operations.
  • Complete accurate written reports and activity logs, communicate updates to supervisors and location leadership, and use approved communication systems and/or technology to support security-related operations.
