As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and visitor support, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while using basic computer tools. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or fire and life hazard alarms, and communicate status updates to site leadership and responding agencies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, directing visitors to the proper destinations, and documenting entries, exits, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policy.
Complete detailed security-related reports, including incident reports, shift activity logs, and maintenance observations, and promptly escalate urgent items through the chain of command.
