As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control expectations, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or facility alarms, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, corridors, and other assigned areas, verifying authorized access, documenting observations, and/or assisting with visitor directions and wayfinding as needed.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation, and coordinate with local responders and site personnel when escalation is needed.
