As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will assist visitors, support staff, and respond to various situations as needed. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to assist with access control procedures as required for a healthcare environment.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols and client site requirements.
Assist staff, patients, and visitors with security-related concerns or inquiries, demonstrating a helpful and approachable attitude.
Collaborate with healthcare facility staff and emergency personnel as needed to support a secure environment.
Remain alert to any hazards or conditions that may require attention and promptly communicate findings to the appropriate parties.
