As a Front Desk Officer in a residential community, you will welcome residents and guests, manage access control, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Have a state, county, or city issued security license, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Control access to the residential location by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry logs as required.
  • Monitor lobby activity and building systems such as cameras, intercoms, and access control to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity, and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or emergency services when directed by procedures.
  • Complete shift reports and other required documentation, communicate notable events during turnovers, and support administrative tasks such as package handling and key or fob accountability as assigned.
