As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support smooth daily operations by screening associates, visitors, and incoming items, verifying credentials, and assisting with entry points and shipping and receiving areas. You will stay visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site leaders and team members. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries at entry points using approved screening methods and security-related equipment, helping to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access.
  • Verify identification, manage access credentials, and maintain visitor and driver logs and shipping or receiving documentation as required by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout docks, yards, warehouse areas, and perimeter gates, observing for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards and reporting findings.
