As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and drivers, screen access points, and help maintain smooth traffic flow at entrances and checkpoints. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations clearly. Bring strong customer service, communication, and integrity as you support a reliable, agile, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers by verifying identification and access authorization, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and maintaining access logs.
  • Conduct person and property screening at designated entry points using approved methods and equipment, following post orders for prohibited items, inspections, and reporting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per site protocols and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter as assigned, watching for unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
