About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Driver Patrol Rapid Deployment to serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. Based in Maitland, Florida, the role involves assignments across different sites, with shifts, days, locations, and duties changing regularly. Work is expected to total 30–40 hours per week. The schedule combines manager-assigned shifts with shifts the employee may claim through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to meet client needs. The position pays $20.82 per hour and offers exposure to varied work environments and opportunities for career advancement.

Applicants must be available for changing shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and for last-minute scheduling. They must be able to travel the distances required for Branch Flex assignments. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions in accordance with company policy. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements, and licensing may be required by state or local law.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
