As a Front Desk Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors and drivers, manage access, issue badges, and maintain visitor logs while monitoring security-related systems and reporting unusual activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state per Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification, managing sign-in logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing guests, vendors, and drivers to the proper location.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems from the front desk, and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and front desk records such as shift activity logs, incident reports, delivery and visitor documentation, and pass-on information for incoming personnel.
