About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related protocols, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and assist with directing authorized personnel to designated locations.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, communicating security-related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
