As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong visible presence. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control in a chemical and petrochemical environment.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
Support emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
Maintain clear and professional communication with Allied Universal management, site staff, and local authorities when required.
