Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy food and beverage location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will use your armed guard card or license to respond professionally to issues, support site operations, and uphold our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing, checking for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and/or unusual conditions that may help to deter incidents.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and docks by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, screening deliveries and pickups, and directing traffic flow for trucks and employee vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and medical calls, and coordinate with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation, and communicate security-related information to oncoming officers and site contacts.
