As an armed, driving Security Officer supporting a busy transportation location, you will patrol assigned areas, conduct routine mobile rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and incidents, write clear reports, and deliver strong customer service through calm communication. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and use of force guidelines, including maintaining control of assigned equipment and completing required checks.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, rail yard areas, parking lots, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting hazards and/or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site contacts and/or local public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation.
