Job Description As a Security Officer - Financial Front Desk in Jersey City, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Your role will involve monitoring access, assisting with badge control, and providing exceptional customer service. By remaining attentive and approachable, you help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming and secure environment, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access control at the entrance, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including communicating with building management and first responders.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences at the front desk.
  • Support the enforcement of location policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry or activity.
  • Answer inquiries from visitors and employees, providing information or directing them to the appropriate contact within the location.
