About The Position

As a Security Officer - Factory in Coopersville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to requests, document activity, and deliver customer-focused communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and visitor entry processes, verifying credentials and documenting entries and/or deliveries per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting the appropriate parties, and supporting evacuations when directed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with incident documentation and follow-up actions.
