About The Position

As a Security Officer - Factory Gatehouse in Westampton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and guide employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, watch for unusual activity, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting operations with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A Guard Card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing deliveries and contractors to proper locations.
Monitor inbound and outbound traffic in a manufacturing and industrial location, including verifying shipping and receiving paperwork and coordinating with site staff on dock access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including observing doors, gates, and restricted areas for unusual activity.
