As a Security Officer - Facility Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for employees and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the food and beverage location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activities or conditions to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as directed.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and guests as needed.
Follow all instructions and protocols specific to the food and beverage environment, adapting to varying working conditions as required by the site.
