As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points and respond to concerns with calm communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a school district location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hallways, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials or visitor authorization when applicable, and help to maintain orderly movement of students, staff, visitors, and/or deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting school administration and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
