About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol chemical or petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This is a driving post requiring you to operate a vehicle during patrols. Your visible presence supports a positive atmosphere while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication, all as part of a caring, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that values integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, which may include chemical and petrochemical areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or potential security-related issues within the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site procedures.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
