About The Position

As a Security Officer - Facility Entry Operations in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and help to deter security-related incidents through attentive access control practices. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related logs and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, policy violations, and unusual conditions.
