Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.
