About The Position

As a Security Officer - Executive Reception Post in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
  • Have a College Degree.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, location-specific policies, and assigned post instructions at the front desk.
  • Control access by verifying identification, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized visitors to the appropriate area.
  • Monitor security-related systems and activity from the front desk, such as cameras, alarms, and access control notifications, and communicate concerns to site leadership per protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating location emergency response steps and contacting the appropriate internal staff and/or public responders.
  • Prepare clear, timely documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and service requests, and relay post updates during shift turnover.
