As a Front Desk Officer in an education setting, you will welcome students, faculty, and visitors, manage access and visitor check-in, and support security-related communication at the main entrance. You will monitor entry points, respond to questions and incidents, and document activity with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Staff the front desk by greeting and directing students, faculty, staff, and visitors; manage sign-in logs, visitor badges, and access requests per site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entrances, lobby activity, and available camera/alarm systems; report unusual activity and maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact on-site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate post updates during shift change, and support event and classroom traffic flow as assigned.
