About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate access logs, badge records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
