About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Theodore, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to onsite personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized traffic to designated areas.
Support outbound and inbound operations by screening deliveries and pickups, checking bills of lading and/or shipping documentation as required, and coordinating with site contacts regarding access questions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity per site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yard areas, dock doors, and the perimeter, and monitor cameras and alarms as assigned to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property loss.
