Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and security-related policies at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and/or truck access areas to help control authorized access, verify identification, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
• Prepare reports and maintain activity logs related to access control events, visitor processing, trailer and vehicle movements, and other security-related observations.
