About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Walton, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to docks, warehouses, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity, and communicate security-related information regarding arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
