Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies for a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other controlled access points, helping to deter unauthorized entry by checking identification, credentials, passes, and/or visitor information as required.
  • Respond to incidents, assistance requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Document access activity, unusual events, and policy-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
