About The Position

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, gates, and/or other controlled access points to help support authorized access, report unusual activity, and respond to issues in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations by following post orders, communicating with site contacts, and completing detailed activity and incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting access control concerns, unsecured entry points, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
• Assist with visitor management, badge distribution, and/or escort procedures for staff, vendors, and guests in a professional manner consistent with location policies.
