Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. You will stay highly visible, respond to access alarms and/or requests, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while providing customer-focused service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Control access at designated entrances by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges as directed, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and directing individuals to approved areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, document security-related activity, and report concerns to site leadership per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify maintenance or operational concerns for reporting.
