About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location where you will help manage access control, greet visitors, and support badge and credential checks. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and guests using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a tech and media location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the property by screening and verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing authorized entry lists, and directing arrivals to the proper areas based on site guidelines.
  • Monitor access points, CCTV, alarms, and/or other security-related systems to help identify unusual activity, then document observations and notify site contacts and/or supervisors as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, access disputes, and policy violations, while coordinating with on-site staff and/or emergency services when directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, perform access checks of doors and gates, and complete required logs and reports based on post orders.
