As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, manage badges, and help maintain smooth visitor and employee flow. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, respond to alarms and access issues, and document activity using site systems. With Allied Universal, you will bring reliable customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials as required, and directing authorized personnel to the proper check-in process.
  • Monitor entry and exit points and maintain accurate logs of visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries to support security-related and operational requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct inspections of access control doors, gates, and related equipment, report maintenance issues, and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining a consistent presence at assigned posts.
