You will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to questions with strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal post orders at an automotive location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or reception points by verifying identification, authorizations, and vehicle credentials, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras when assigned, and document unusual activity and/or policy exceptions per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
  • Complete security-related reports, log entries, and incident documentation accurately and on time, including tracking keys, badges, and visitor records per site policy.
