Job Description As a Security Officer - Badge Control in Louisville, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. This role reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, delivering through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report findings per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions; working environments may vary by location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in and/or deliveries, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Support site security-related operations by observing for policy violations, coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as directed, and documenting activities in daily reports.
