About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Badge Control in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a tech and communications location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges, and support entry and exit procedures. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly to help identify and reduce potential issues. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and directing individuals to the proper check-in points.
  • Control entry and exit at assigned access points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor logs, and escalating irregularities per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, documenting events, and coordinating with on-site teams as needed.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control software, and report suspicious activity and/or system issues according to site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
