Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
Screen guests and their belongings in accordance with established museum procedures, using screening equipment and conducting bag checks as directed.
Monitor entry points and visitor flow, verify credentials when required, and assist with maintaining an orderly, welcoming environment for guests.
Respond to incidents, prohibited-item concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas, exhibit spaces, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
