About The Position

As a Security Officer - Enhanced Screening Officer in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will support access control by screening visitors, managing badges, and monitoring entry points. Your visible presence and customer-focused communication will help deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established technology campus procedures; verify credentials and maintain accurate entry records.
  • Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and access-control activity; report unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access.
